Great, useful projects for blacksmithing. Items you can make for yourself and to sell at craft fairs. Good for a beginner or an expierianced smithy.

This would probably be a great book for someone who had a green thumb–at least 75% of the projects in this book are meant to be used or displayed in a garden. Examples include plant hangers, garden tools, yard seats, gates, fences, a weather vane, and a wheelbarrow. The non-garden projects include chisels, fireplace tools, and other standbys found in typical blacksmithing instructional books. Blandford’s book features many illustrations that seemed to do little more than fill pages.

If your interests weigh towards simple outdoors tools and decorations, then this might be the book for you. The more general smiths, however, would be better off buying Andrew’s ‘Edge of the Anvil’, Weygers’ ‘The Complete Modern Blacksmith’, or even Streeter’s ‘Professional Smithing’.
